The agriculture affiliate program that pays 20% each month
Farmonaut's agriculture affiliate program pays you 20% of what each farm or agribusiness you refer pays for satellite crop monitoring, for every month they stay subscribed. The farms you refer get 10% off with your code or link, and you can see your referrals and earnings in your own dashboard.

How the 20% recurring commission is calculated
You get 20% of whatever a customer you referred pays us, and you keep getting it every month they stay subscribed. Each new subscriber you refer adds to that monthly payment.
- Each time a customer you referred renews, you get 20% of that payment.
- Commission is worked out on what the customer actually pays, after their 10% discount.
- Your dashboard shows your totals, a month-by-month breakdown and how often your code was used. You can export it as a CSV.
- We pay on the 5th of each month, by bank transfer or PayPal.
If 25 referrals are subscribed
These are round, made-up numbers to show how the math works. They aren't real plan prices, and they aren't a promise of earnings. What you actually earn depends on the plans your referrals pick and how long they stay. Current prices are on the pricing page.

Retention
Why customers keep their subscription
A recurring commission is only worth something if people stay subscribed. Farmers tend to open Farmonaut every few days, when new satellite data comes in for their fields, and that habit is what makes it a good fit for an agtech affiliate program.
- Each field report gives the crop's water need in millimeters per day, the pest risk and fertilizer doses, alongside crop health.
- We use both optical and radar satellites, so cloudy weeks don't leave gaps.
- There are no sensors or drones to buy. A field is added by its address, by drawing it on the map or by uploading a KML file.
- Reports are available in 248 languages, as a PDF or a share link.

Who to approach first as an agriculture affiliate
The best first referrals are people who already manage several fields and make regular decisions about water and fertilizer. Commercial growers of irrigated or high-value crops are a natural start: orchards, almonds, blueberries, cotton, sugarcane, vegetables. A grower with ten blocks gets more out of a field report than someone with one small plot,.
Where referrals tend to come from
- Growers you already advise or sell to, especially those running several fields with one manager.
- Independent agronomists and crop consultants, who can watch all their clients' fields from one account and refer each client separately.
- Input dealers and irrigation suppliers, whose customers ask what a field needs before they buy.
- Farm co-ops and grower associations, which can share one code with all their members.
- Agricultural creators, trainers and extension educators with an audience of working farmers.
This is why we describe the agriculture affiliate program as a referral program for agronomists and consultants first. Your clients already trust your judgment about their fields, so a tool you recommend and check alongside them is an easy step for them to take.
Introducing Farmonaut with one field
The easiest way to introduce Farmonaut is with one field the grower knows well, ideally one with a patch that always does worse. Sit with them, or share a screen, and add the field to the web app by searching its address, drawing the boundary or uploading a KML, KMZ or shapefile. Once the field report comes through, go through it together.
The report covers crop health on a five-level scale, the crop's water need in millimeters per day for the next seven days with the best time to irrigate, soil acidity, salinity and organic matter, an expected yield and harvest date, pest, disease and weed risk with a probability and an organic and a chemical control option, and fertilizer doses for five nutrients, including "apply nothing" where a field doesn't need any. Ask the grower whether the weak patch on the crop health map matches what they see on the ground. It is usually the point where the report starts to make sense to them.
Reports come in 248 languages and can be shared as a PDF or a link that opens without a login. A farm manager can send one straight to the person who runs the irrigation. For a deeper look at the advice layer, see our page on AI farm advisory.
Content ideas and channels for a farming affiliate program
If you publish for farmers, the content that works best is specific and seasonal. There are already plenty of generic "best farm apps" posts, so a walkthrough of one real field report will stand out more.
- A short video going through a field report on a crop your audience grows, explaining what each panel means.
- A before-irrigation post showing the seven-day water forecast next to what the grower actually did.
- A newsletter item at the start of the season on mapping fields before planting.
- A comparison of satellite data with walking the field, being fair about what each one catches.
- A case study you share with permission, or one of ours from the Farmonaut case studies.
Using your promo code and share link
Use the share link where people can click, such as posts, emails, messaging apps and video descriptions, because it opens the plans with the discount already shown. Use the promo code where they can't, such as a podcast, a talk or a printed handout. Keep the code short and easy to say. Put your disclosure right next to either one. In the US, the FTC expects you to clearly disclose that you earn a commission, and other countries have similar advertising rules.
What referred farms get
Farms that subscribe with your code or link get 10% off their plan, and the full product on the plan they choose. That includes the web app at sat.farmonaut.com and the Android and iOS apps, 16 satellite views per field (NDVI, NDRE, EVI, NDWI, NDMI, evapotranspiration, soil organic carbon, radar soil moisture and others), the ability to compare dates and play back a season, and the six-part field report described above. We use both optical and radar satellites, so cloud cover doesn't leave long gaps. Farms don't need to buy sensors or drones.
Agtech platforms that want the readings inside their own product can use the agriculture data API, which returns all 16 views and the field report as JSON. Current plans are on the pricing page, and the full feature list is on our satellite crop monitoring page.
How the 20% recurring commission builds month to month
In the agriculture affiliate program, your commission is 20% of each payment a referred farm makes, for as long as it stays subscribed. Because it repeats, what matters most over a year is how many referrals are still subscribed, more than how many signed up in any one month. The table below is a made-up example using the same round $100 per month figure as above. It isn't a real price or a forecast.
| Month | What happened (hypothetical) | Paying | Your 20% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 3 growers subscribe | 3 | $60 |
| 2 | 2 more join from a co-op meeting | 5 | $100 |
| 3 | 1 grower cancels, 4 join | 8 | $160 |
| 4 | No change | 8 | $160 |
The point of the example is the shape: commission keeps arriving from earlier referrals while you add new ones, and it drops when someone cancels. Your dashboard shows the real version, month by month, with code use and trial subscriptions that turned into paid ones.
Payouts, taxes and payment details
Payouts from the agriculture affiliate program go out on the 5th of each month to the default method you've chosen in the dashboard. For a bank transfer, you'll need your IBAN, SWIFT code and the other account details the form asks for. For PayPal, you'll need the account you want to be paid into. Payment details are stored encrypted, and each payout appears in your transaction history with its date, amount and destination. You can export that history as a CSV or Excel file, which is handy at tax time.
You're responsible for your own taxes on affiliate income, wherever you live. We don't give tax advice, so if you're unsure whether commission counts as business income where you are, or what records to keep, ask an accountant. Keeping the monthly exports together makes that conversation easier.
Mistakes that cost ag affiliates referrals
- Promising results. Don't tell a grower they'll save a set percentage of water or fertilizer. Share customer stories as what those customers reported on their own farms.
- Leaving out the disclosure. It's expected, and people trust you more when you're upfront.
- Posting a code into big groups with no explanation. One walkthrough of a real field does more.
- Recommending it for very small plots. Our crop views are built from satellite pixels about 10 meters across, so a garden-sized plot covers only a handful of them.
- Forgetting the checkout step. If a farm doesn't use your code or link, the subscription can't be credited to you.
- Disappearing after the sign-up. The first few reports are when growers have the most questions, so stay available while they learn to read them.

Agriculture affiliate program FAQ
How do I join the agriculture affiliate program?
Open the affiliate dashboard, log in or sign up with your mobile number, Gmail or email, and generate a promo code. You can start sharing it straight away.
How much can I earn?
You earn 20% of what each referred customer pays, every month they stay subscribed. As a purely illustrative example with round numbers, 25 referred customers each paying $100 a month would earn you $500 a month. Your actual earnings depend on the plans your referrals choose and how long they stay.
Is the commission recurring?
Yes. You're paid for every month a referred customer stays subscribed, including renewals, and not only on their first payment.
Do my referrals get a discount?
Yes. They get 10% off their plan when they enter your promo code at checkout or open your unique link.
How do I track my earnings?
The Track Earnings section of the dashboard shows total earnings, monthly breakdowns, promo code use and trial subscriptions that convert to paid. You can filter by period or service and export a CSV or Excel file.
How and when am I paid?
Payouts go out on the 5th of every month to your default payment method: a bank transfer (with IBAN, SWIFT and other details) or PayPal. Payment details are stored encrypted, and every payout is listed in your transaction history.
Who can join?
Anyone who works with farmers or agribusinesses: agronomists, farm consultants, input dealers, farm co-ops, agtech platforms and agricultural content creators.
Is there a mining affiliate program too?
Yes. The mining partner program works differently: you apply, and it pays commission on approved exploration projects.
Can agronomists use it as a referral program for their clients?
Yes, and it's one of the most common ways people use it. You can follow your clients' fields from your own account and refer each client with your code, so each one gets 10% off and you earn 20% of what they pay while they stay subscribed.
What do the farms I refer actually get?
They get the plan they choose at 10% off, with the web, Android and iOS apps, 16 satellite views per field and a field report covering crop health, irrigation, soil, expected yield, pest risk and fertilizer. Reports are available in 248 languages and can be shared as a PDF or link.
Do I need to tell people I earn a commission?
Yes. In the US, the FTC expects affiliates to clearly disclose a commission close to the recommendation, and many other countries have similar rules. A short line next to your code or link is usually enough.
Do I have to pay tax on my affiliate earnings?
Affiliates are responsible for their own taxes where they live, and we can't give tax advice. Your transaction history can be exported as a CSV or Excel file, which helps when you or your accountant prepare your return.
