Farmonaut plans and pricing

Pick a product to see its plans: satellite mineral detection for exploration teams, or smart agriculture monitoring for farms and agribusinesses.

Farmonaut pricing

How Farmonaut pricing works

Farmonaut pricing depends on which product you're buying. Farm monitoring is a subscription priced by the area you monitor, and you can buy it online. Satellite mineral detection is quoted per project, because each license differs in size, target minerals and the depth of report you need. API access for software teams is documented separately. The two buttons above take you to the farm plans and to our team for mining; the sections below explain what goes into each price.

How farm plans are priced

Farm plans are priced by the area you monitor, so a grower with one 40-acre field and an estate with thousands of acres pay very different amounts for the same product. Current plans and prices are on the farm pricing page; we don't list them here because they're kept up to date in one place.

Each field on a plan gets the same report after every satellite pass:

  • Crop health on a five-level scale
  • Water need in millimeters per day for the next seven days
  • Soil acidity, salinity and organic matter
  • A yield estimate and harvest date
  • Pest, disease and weed risk with an organic and a chemical option
  • Fertilizer doses in kilograms for five nutrients, including "apply nothing"

Draw or upload your field boundaries in the web app. The area of those fields is what a farm plan is priced on.

How mining reports are priced

Each mining project is quoted on three things: the total area of the license or claims, the minerals you're targeting, and the report tier. Send your boundary through the quote form and we reply within one working day with the scope, price and timeline. Delivery takes under 5 days from a usable boundary.

Request a quote

Premium

  • Ranked targets and a prospectivity heatmap
  • Location, depth and estimated quantity for each zone
  • Structural and lithological mapping
  • Seasonal validation and confidence tiers
  • Indicative economics
  • KML, GeoTIFF and GeoJSON files

Premium+

  • Everything in Premium
  • TargetMax™ drilling angles and depths
  • 3D subsurface model and economic block model
  • Synthetic drillholes, a conceptual pit shell and grade–tonnage curves
  • Life-of-mine schedule and Monte Carlo P10/P50/P90
  • Exports for Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac and Datamine

Add-ons are quoted separately: white-label reports, translation, GIS and CSV delivery, and Surpac STR/DTM plus DXF/DWG files. Results are Exploration Targets that guide sampling and drilling ahead of a JORC or NI 43-101 resource estimate, not a replacement for one.

Farmonaut API pricing

The agriculture data API follows the same area-based logic as the farm plans: what you pay depends on how much land you monitor through it. The documentation has a plans and billing section with the current details. Unused credits roll over when 2,470+ acres are kept under watch. If you're planning a large volume, contact us before you build.

Discounts through referral codes

If an agronomist, consultant or other partner in our agriculture affiliate program referred you, use their code or link and you get 10% off your farm plan. Apply the code at checkout on the subscription page. If you opened their link, the discounted plans show up directly.

What affects the cost of a farm plan

The main factor is the area you keep under watch. What counts is the total of the field boundaries you add to your account, not the size of the whole property, so you don't need to include pasture, woodland or land that's lying fallow this season. If you manage fields for clients, such as an agronomy practice, all of them count toward one account.

What doesn't affect the price is equipment. Our crop monitoring works from satellite images, so there are no sensors, drones or weather stations to buy, and nobody has to visit the field to produce a report. That matters most when you're comparing quotes: a cheaper per-acre price on a system that also needs a probe in every block can end up costing more.

Every crop gets the same six-part report. The platform already monitors 166 crops, from apple and almonds to rice, wheat and cocoa, and if yours isn't covered yet, ask us before you buy.

What affects the cost of a mining report

A mineral detection quote reflects how much analysis the project needs. Three things move it:

  • Area. A larger license means more ground to process and more zones to rank. Portfolios of several licenses are delivered in phases.
  • Target minerals. Different minerals show up in different parts of the spectrum. Gold and copper work rely heavily on alteration and structure, while minerals that need narrow spectral bands, such as rare earths, lithium and platinum group metals, may call for hyperspectral data.
  • Report tier. Premium+ costs more than Premium because it adds drilling guidance, 3D subsurface modeling and a conceptual mine plan.

Add-ons such as white-label reports, translation and CAD file formats are priced on top. Our quotes cover the work agreed in the scope, and all accepted engagements so far have been delivered in full.

Choosing between Premium and Premium+

Premium is the right starting point when you're still deciding where to look. It ranks the ground across your license, gives the location, estimated depth and quantity for each zone, and shows how confident we are in each one. It's meant for planning sampling and the first field visits.

Premium+ makes sense once you're planning to drill or need to present the project to investors or partners in more detail. It adds TargetMax™ drilling angles and depths, a 3D subsurface model, an economic block model, a conceptual pit shell and P10/P50/P90 estimates, with files your geologists can open in Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac or Datamine. Mining Pro, our browser-based exploration software, has viewers for the 3D model, block model, drillholes and mine plan.

Both tiers produce Exploration Targets. They help you decide where to spend on fieldwork, ahead of a JORC or NI 43-101 resource estimate, and they don't replace one. On engagements where clients tested the ranked zones, 90% were confirmed by ground or drill evidence. Our mining case studies show what a finished report looks like.

Choosing a farm plan

Start by adding up the fields you actually want watched this season. If you're unsure, begin with the field that worries you most, use the reports for a few weeks, and add the rest once you've seen what the irrigation and fertilizer advice looks like for your crop. You can add a field by searching an address and drawing it, or by uploading a KML, KMZ or shapefile in the web app.

Larger operations follow a different path:

  • Plantations and estates with thousands of plots often pair monitoring with the Agro Admin app for their field teams. Talk to us about both together.
  • Lenders and insurers checking many farms at once should ask for a quote through the contact page. The crop loan and insurance page describes what's included.
  • Software companies that want the data inside their own product should look at the API rather than a farm plan.

Plans for agronomists and consultants

If you advise growers, you can follow all your clients' fields from your own account, share a field by link (the grower doesn't need a login to open it) and send each one a PDF report in their own language, from a choice of 248. The area of every client field counts toward your plan.

If you'd rather have each client subscribe separately, the agriculture affiliate program is worth a look: each client who signs up with your code gets 10% off their plan, and you earn 20% of what they pay for every month they stay subscribed. Earnings, code use and a monthly breakdown show up in your affiliate dashboard.

Getting an accurate mining quote

The more we know up front, the closer the first quote is to the final scope. With the boundary, send the license number and status, the minerals you're after, any sampling, mapping or drilling already done on the ground, and the date you need results by. Say which tier you have in mind; if you're not sure, describe how far along the project is and we'll recommend one. If the project needs a confidentiality agreement before you share the boundary, raise it with our team when you request the quote.

Geologists and consultants who introduce clients to us without doing the technical work themselves can apply to the mining affiliate program, which pays commission on approved projects.

Comparing the cost with other methods

For farms, the useful comparison is with what you'd otherwise spend to get the same information: agronomist visits, drone flights, soil probes or simply the water and fertilizer applied where the crop didn't need it. Customers' own estimates show where the savings come from. A blueberry grower in Florida reported cutting irrigation and fertilizer use by 30–50% across 124 acres, and a 190-acre farm in Algeria used 51% less water than watering daily. Full write-ups are on the case studies page.

In mining, a satellite report is compared with the cost of finding targets on foot: mapping, soil and rock sampling and early geophysics across the whole license. Clients report saving USD 25,000–100,000 and up to 6 months per license by narrowing fieldwork to the ranked zones first.

If you're comparing satellite crop monitoring pricing between providers, look past the price per acre and check what it buys. Some services give you index maps (NDVI and similar) and leave the interpretation to you, while others turn the readings into irrigation, fertilizer and pest advice. Ask how often a field is updated, whether radar fills the gaps when it's cloudy, what resolution the readings are at, and whether you can share reports with an agronomist or buyer without paying for another login. Those differences usually matter more over a season than a small gap in the headline price.

Worth knowing

Satellite results narrow down where to look. You'll still want to walk a flagged field, and an exploration program still needs samples and drill holes to confirm what's in the ground.

Billing basics

Farm plans are paid at checkout on the subscription page after you pick a plan. If you have a referral code from an affiliate or partner, enter it there for 10% off. For anything about an existing subscription, such as an invoice or a change of plan, open a ticket on the support page so we can look at your account.

Common questions about pricing

Where can I see Farmonaut pricing for farm plans?

On the farm pricing page. Plans are priced by the area you monitor, and you can choose and pay for one there yourself.

How much does satellite mineral detection cost?

It's quoted per project, based on the total area, the target minerals and the report tier. Send your boundary through the mining quote form and we reply within one working day with the scope, price and timeline.

What is the difference between Premium and Premium+?

Premium gives you ranked targets, a prospectivity heatmap, structural and lithological mapping, confidence tiers and indicative economics. Premium+ adds drilling angles and depths, a 3D subsurface model, an economic block model, a conceptual pit shell, P10/P50/P90 estimates and files for Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac and Datamine.

How is Farmonaut API pricing worked out?

By the area you monitor through the API, in the same way as the farm plans. The API documentation has the current plans and billing details, and unused credits roll over when 2,470+ acres are kept under watch.

Is there a discount on farm plans?

Yes, if you sign up with a referral code or link from one of our affiliates. It gives you 10% off your plan. Apply the code at checkout on the subscription page.

Do I need to buy sensors or a drone?

No. Farm monitoring works from satellite images, so the only thing we need is your field boundary. There's no equipment cost on top of the plan.

Is the AI farm advisory included in farm plans?

Yes. JEEVN AI, which turns each satellite pass into advice on water, fertilizer and pests, is included in Farmonaut's paid farm plans. See the AI farm advisory page for what it covers.

Can I monitor fields in any country?

Yes. Farmonaut already monitors fields in 135 countries, and the satellite data covers farmland worldwide. Reports can be read in 248 languages.
