State Farm Boat Loan Rates: Who Actually Lends Now

State Farm does not publish a boat loan rate, a motorhome loan rate or a mortgage rate, because State Farm no longer originates those loans itself. State Farm announced its alliance with U.S. Bank on March 5, 2020, and U.S. Bank assumed State Farm Bank’s deposit and credit card accounts (State Farm newsroom). What carries the State Farm name now is a U.S. Bank unsecured personal loan of $1,000 to $50,000, quoted at a fixed 8.74% to 24.99% APR as of April 13, 2026, on State Farm’s own personal loans page. If you want a rate on a boat, an RV or a house, you are shopping U.S. Bank and Rocket Mortgage โ€” and the numbers below are the ones to beat.

What Happened to State Farm Bank Lending

State Farm Bank once wrote its own boat loans, RV loans, auto loans, mortgages and home equity lines. That business was wound down. The March 5, 2020 announcement confirmed U.S. Bank would assume State Farm Bank’s existing deposit and credit card accounts, and said the two companies were “exploring working together to provide State Farm customers with access to vehicle loans and business banking products.”

That exploration produced one consumer lending product. On March 26, 2025, State Farm and U.S. Bank announced that U.S. Bank personal loans were available through State Farm agents โ€” unsecured, up to $50,000, described as “one-time funding for any major purchase or project, including home improvements, debt consolidation or a vehicle purchase.”

When State Farm’s banking hub was fetched in August 2026, it listed checking, savings, money market accounts, CDs, retirement CDs, credit cards, personal loans and business banking. It listed no boat loan, no RV loan, no mortgage and no home equity product. Its own disclosure reads: “Installment loans are offered by U.S. Bank National Association.” Borrowers with a legacy State Farm Bank vehicle loan still on the books are directed to State Farm Bank Loan Servicing at 866-207-9079 โ€” that loan’s rate was fixed at origination and is not re-quotable.

“The only rate State Farm publishes is 8.74%โ€“24.99% APR โ€” and it is a U.S. Bank personal loan, not a boat loan.”

This is the table nobody else building “state farm boat loan rates” pages puts in front of you: the product, the actual lender of record, the published number, and the page the number came from.

Boat Loan Rates: The Numbers U.S. Bank Publishes

The single most useful disclosed figure for anyone searching State Farm bank boat loan interest rates is on U.S. Bank’s boat loan refinancing page. It quotes 7.49% APR, and โ€” unusually โ€” it also publishes the full qualifying stack and a worked payment example: a $50,001 loan on a three-year-old boat over 180 months with a $100 origination fee carries a monthly payment of $464.16 at 7.52% APR.

Read that example closely, because it is where boat financing quietly differs from car financing. A 180-month term is fifteen years. Over that span, the interest on $50,001 at 7.52% comes to roughly $33,500 โ€” more than the interest and the principal combined on the same balance repaid over five years.

Waterfall showing how a $50,001 boat loan at 7.52 percent APR builds to a total repayment of about $83,500 over 180 months What U.S. Bank’s own $50,001 / 180-month boat example adds up to $50,001 Amount financed + $33,548 Interest + $100 fee $83,549 Total repaid $0 $40,000 $80,000 Built from U.S. Bank’s disclosed example: $464.16/month ร— 180 months at 7.52% APR (usbank.com boat loan refinancing page).

Why the term matters more than the headline rate

Boat and RV lenders compete on monthly payment, and the easiest way to shrink a payment is to stretch the term. U.S. Bank’s boat financing carries a 12-month minimum term and a $10,000 minimum amount, with the payment calculator accepting $10,000 to $150,000 on boats up to 7 model years old. The refinance product runs out to 180 months. Holding the rate constant at the disclosed 7.52% APR, here is what each term costs in interest on the same $50,001.

Vertical bar chart of total interest paid on $50,001 at 7.52 percent APR over 60, 120 and 180 month terms Total interest on $50,001 at 7.52% APR, by term length $0 $10k $20k $30k $10,138 60 months $1,002/mo $21,281 120 months $594/mo $33,537 180 months $464/mo Amortisation computed from the 7.52% APR disclosed in U.S. Bank’s boat refinance example; the bank’s own 180-month payment is $464.16.

The 180-month option lowers the payment by $538 a month against the 60-month option and costs $23,399 more in interest. That trade is the entire decision, and no rate table will make it for you.

Calculator: Secured Boat Loan vs Unsecured Personal Loan

Because State Farm now routes borrowers to an unsecured U.S. Bank personal loan while the cheapest marine money is secured by the boat itself, put your own figures against both.

Motorhome and RV Loan Rates

Searches for State Farm motorhome loan rates hit the same wall, plus one more: U.S. Bank's RV loans page publishes no APR at all. Its only rate statement is that "Rates are subject to change." You have to run a rate check to see a number.

There is a structural reason motorhome pricing is thinner than boat pricing. Per the RV Industry Association's December 2025 shipment report, total 2025 wholesale RV shipments were 342,220 units, up 2.5% on 2024. Of those, towables accounted for 306,114 units (+2.4%) and motorhomes for just 36,029 units (+3.3%).

Shipments are reported monthly, so a fresher figure is always available at rvia.org.

Roughly one in ten RVs sold is a motorhome, so lenders build published rate sheets around towables and autos and quote motorhomes case by case. Expect underwriting closer to a boat than a car: longer terms, model-year limits and LTV caps. For a working benchmark while you shop, the Federal Reserve's G.19 consumer credit release โ€” dated July 8, 2026 โ€” put commercial bank rates for 72-month new car loans at 7.73% in Q1 2026. G.19 is quarterly, so a fresher quarter appears on that page regularly. Anything materially above it on a secured motorhome loan deserves a second quote.

State Farm Mortgage Rates

State Farm has not underwritten new mortgages since the banking wind-down. On July 17, 2019, State Farm and Quicken Loans announced an alliance letting State Farm agents become licensed loan originators for Rocket Mortgage products โ€” conventional Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans, FHA, VA, USDA and jumbo. The release stated that "Current State Farm Bank mortgage customers will not be impacted."

Practically, that means three things. First, there is no State Farm mortgage rate sheet to look up; the rate you get is a Rocket Mortgage rate. Second, whether your local agent can originate at all depends on whether that individual holds a mortgage loan originator licence โ€” many State Farm agents do not. Third, when State Farm's home-loan URLs were fetched in August 2026, they resolved to the U.S. Bank banking hub with no mortgage content on the page, so treat any third-party page quoting a "State Farm mortgage rate" as unsourced.

How to get a defensible mortgage rate benchmark

Before you accept any quote, establish what the market is paying. Two durable, non-commercial reference points:

  • The CFPB's Explore Interest Rates tool shows the spread of rates lenders offered for a given credit score, down payment, term and loan type on a $400,000 purchase. Its methodology note states the rates "include a mix of large banks, regional banks, and credit unions"; the version reviewed drew on data from April 1, 2025, with the page last modified February 17, 2026. Use it for the shape of the spread, not as a live quote.
  • The FHFA discontinued its Monthly Interest Rate Survey on May 29, 2019 and replaced its ARM benchmark with the MIRS Transition Index, "based on a version of Freddie Mac's 30-year Primary Mortgage Market Survey that adjusts for differences between the two." It is published on the final Thursday of each month, so there is always a value no more than four weeks old.

State Farm Home Improvement Loans

This is the one search on the list with a clean, current, State Farm-published answer โ€” and the answer is better than most searchers expect. The personal loans page describes "easy, unsecured loans from $1,000-$50,000" with terms of 12 to 84 months and a fixed APR range of 8.74% to 24.99% as of April 13, 2026.

The qualifying stack for that 8.74% floor is published, and home improvement is explicitly part of it. All five conditions must hold: a loan of $10,000 or more, a term of 12 to 36 months, a credit score of 800 or above, a home-improvement purpose, and automatic payments from a U.S. Bank account. Miss the autopay condition or stretch to 60 months and you move up the range.

Set that against the alternatives in the Q1 2026 G.19 data: 24-month personal loans at commercial banks averaged 11.57%, and credit card plans across all accounts averaged 21.16%. An 8.74% unsecured home improvement loan beats both comfortably. At the top of the range, 24.99% is worse than the average credit card โ€” which is the whole reason to read the qualifying conditions before applying rather than after.

A Five-Step Method to Verify Any Rate Quoted to You

Rates change; this method does not. Run it whoever the lender is.

  1. Identify the lender of record, not the brand on the marketing. Read the fine print at the bottom of the page. "Installment loans are offered by U.S. Bank National Association" tells you who underwrites, who reports to the bureaus and who you call about a problem.
  2. Find the "as of" date attached to the APR. A published range without a date is not a quote. State Farm's page dates its range; use that date to judge how stale it is.
  3. Extract the full qualifying stack for the advertised floor. Lowest-rate offers are conditional bundles โ€” minimum amount, maximum term, minimum FICO, stated purpose, autopay, LTV cap, collateral age. Write down all of them and check which you fail.
  4. Benchmark against a government series before you negotiate. The Federal Reserve's G.19 gives quarterly averages for new car loans, 24-month personal loans and credit cards at commercial banks. For mortgages, use the CFPB rate explorer or the FHFA MIRS Transition Index.
  5. Compare on total interest, not monthly payment. Multiply payment by the number of months and subtract the principal. A 180-month boat loan and a 60-month boat loan at the same rate differ by more than $23,000 on a $50,001 balance.

If a page anywhere quotes you a specific "State Farm boat loan rate," apply step one and step two. Neither will survive.

How Farmonaut

If You Meant Agricultural Loans, Not State Farm

A share of people typing "state farm loan rates" are looking for state and federal farm loan rates โ€” a different product entirely, with rates set by the USDA Farm Service Agency rather than an insurer. If that is you, the authoritative page is the USDA FSA current loan interest rates page, which is republished monthly and lists direct farm operating, farm ownership, joint financing, down payment and emergency loan rates.

For regional context, University of Illinois research on farm loan interest rates by geographic region documents how short-term non-real-estate farm loan rates differ across the Plains and Atlantic regions. Our own deeper guides cover USDA farm loan interest rates and ag credit and how to apply for a farm operating loan.

Where satellite data helps an agricultural credit file

Farm lenders and crop insurers increasingly want independent evidence of what is actually growing on the acres pledged against a loan. Farmonaut is not a lender; it supplies the verification layer โ€” satellite crop health monitoring, field-level history and reporting that a loan officer or adjuster can check against a claim.

Developers and agribusinesses can pull the same data directly through the Farmonaut API platform, documented in the satellite and weather API developer docs.

FAQ

Does State Farm still do boat loans?

Not as an originator. State Farm's banking hub lists no boat loan product; installment loans shown there are offered by U.S. Bank National Association. Boat-specific secured financing comes from U.S. Bank directly, or from a marine lender or credit union. Existing State Farm Bank vehicle loans are still serviced โ€” the number on State Farm's site is 866-207-9079.

What is the lowest published State Farm boat loan interest rate?

There isn't one under the State Farm brand. The nearest published figures are U.S. Bank's boat refinance floor of 7.49% APR (FICO 800+, $50,001+, term โ‰ค180 months, LTV โ‰ค100%, boat under four model years) and the 8.74% floor on the State Farm-branded U.S. Bank unsecured personal loan as of April 13, 2026.

Can I use the State Farm personal loan to buy a boat or RV?

Yes โ€” the March 26, 2025 announcement lists "a vehicle purchase" among eligible uses, and the personal loans page names boats among private-party purchases. It is unsecured, capped at $50,000 and runs 12 to 84 months, so it suits smaller purchases. Above $50,000, or where you want a 120- or 180-month term, secured marine financing is the only route.

What are State Farm mortgage rates?

State Farm publishes none. Home loans run through the Rocket Mortgage alliance announced July 17, 2019, originated by State Farm agents who hold a mortgage loan originator licence, and the rate quoted is Rocket's. Benchmark it with the CFPB rate explorer before you commit.

Is a State Farm home improvement loan secured against my house?

No. It is an unsecured U.S. Bank personal loan of $1,000 to $50,000 over 12 to 84 months, with a home-improvement purpose being one of five conditions for the 8.74% floor. Because it is unsecured, there is no appraisal and no lien โ€” and no mortgage interest treatment.

Where do I check whether these numbers have changed?

Three pages, in order: State Farm's personal loans page for the branded APR range and its "as of" date; U.S. Bank's boat and RV pages for secured collateral terms; and the Federal Reserve's G.19 release, updated quarterly, for the market averages you are negotiating against.

The Short Version

The State Farm lending brand survives the products it used to sell. What remains is a U.S. Bank personal loan quoted at 8.74%โ€“24.99% APR as of April 13, 2026, a Rocket Mortgage referral channel dating to July 17, 2019, and a servicing phone line for legacy vehicle loans. Secured boat and RV money โ€” the 7.49% end of the market โ€” comes from U.S. Bank directly or from a marine lender. Identify the lender of record, date every rate you are shown, read the qualifying stack behind the advertised floor, and compare on total interest rather than monthly payment.
